Supplement 32 to the Coronavirus Guidance – England
The BAB contacted Sport England and the DCMS on the 6th July 2021 to request the latest information.
Information Received from Sport England.
We are still in the position that’s on our website – we are continuing to work with DCMS to understand what the Step 4 changes mean specifically for sport and physical activity. We will update you and our website as soon as we have more information. In terms of timeline it will likely be early next week that we will have more intel (which is in line with previous timeframes ahead of each step and when we have updated our FAQs).
However, the PM’s announcement on the 5th of July shed some light on what Step 4 is likely to look like which should help with headline planning. He mentioned that most restrictions (including social gathering, capacity restrictions, and school bubbles) would likely be removed.
So at this time the BAB expects that all clubs will be able to train with contact aikido as of the week commencing 19th July. In light of this please ask you club and association to ensure you BAB membership is valid as it includes your person to person and public liability insurance.
