Supplement 6 to the Coronavirus Guidance – Scotland ( revised 9th October 2020)
Scotland is gearing up for strict lockdown measures coming into force 8th October 2020 with rules around exercise have changed.
Central belt area focusing on five health board areas (Ayrshire & Arran; Forth Valley; Greater Glasgow & Clyde; Lanarkshire; Lothian):
- No group exercise classes for indoor gyms and sports courts, pools with an exemption for under 18s
- No adult (18+) contact sports or training, except professional sports, indoor or outdoor
Currently, the BAB can only recommend that Scottish Aikido clubs follow the local rules which we believe if you are in the Central belt area means that you can only run a junior aikido class.
Please also strongly consider using the Scottish Track and Trace App which is available at https://protect.scot/
The BAB is trying to obtain clarity from SportScotland but at this time we have no information other than release on the news and gov.scot
Revised 13th October 2020 Further information received for SportScotland please review this page https://www.gov.scot/publications/coronavirus-covid-19-guidance-on-sport-and-leisure-facilities/
