BAB Aikido Insurance Suspended
BAB Aikido Insurance Suspended until further notice
With regard to the current tiresome Coronavirus epidemic, and in view of the requirement for all clubs to be closed, we have now cancelled all BAB insurance cover, which will not be re-instated until clubs are able to re-open.
Accordingly membership returns for MARCH onwards are NOT required, including venues insurance, association fees and club registration fees.
For those individual members and instructors whose membership expires on a renewal date later that APRIL, they will be allowed to carry over any portion of BAB membership (including insurance) not used, up to the date that we are able to resume business, e.g. a person with a normal renewal date of say 1st June would get 2 months (April/May) added to their renewal date when business resumes.
If any clubs have had accidents or incidents in the current month (MARCH) that should be reported to the Insurance Liaison Officer – ilo@bab.org – then these must be reported to him by email – ilo@bab.org – before the end of this month as a claim made in April or later, for an accident./incident before 1st April will be invalid as the terms of our current insurance are on a “claims made” basis, that is the date the claim is made.
Please do not hesitate to contact the BAB Secretary babsecretary@bab.org.uk, or the Chairman babchairman@bab.org.uk, if you have any concerns. Meanwhile it is hoped that you all stay well and clear of this COVID-19 virus, and we look forward to when we can all resume Aikido as a BAB family.
