History : Lancaster Aikido Association has a very short history, having only recently been established in order to join BAB. However Lancaster Aikido Club, the sole member of Lancaster Aikido Association has been in existence since at least 1976, originally under the name 'Lancaster Aikikwai'. This was changed over 10 years ago to Lancaster Aikido Club, when we joined Traditional Aikido Europe and adopted the Takemusu Iwama style of Aikido with the purpose of training O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba's Aikido as taught by the late Morihiro Saito Sensei.
Membership Type : Full Member
Style : We train in the Takemusu Iwama style of Aikido. Members can grade from 6th to 1st kyu at the club. All dan grades are adjudicated by a 5th dan or higher from TAE and are Hombu registered. Stephen Nardone
