Coaching Synopsis

The coaching methods have been updated, the previous Coaching Certificates will be worded differently to the current Coaching Certificates. Shown below are the comparisons between the old and new Coaching Certificates:

Assistant Coach is no longer recognised as a valid Coaching Certificate
Coach is the equivalent to Coach Level 1
There is no previous equivalent to Coach Level 2
Senior Coach is the equivalent to Coach Level 3
Coaching Children is the equivalent to scUK Coaching Children and Young People

For an in depth coaching description please download the BAB Coaching Handbook

Instructors can now proceed directly to Coach Level 1. Students helping the instructor can be registered as “assist only” for the insurance protection. Please refer to the Insurance guidelines available as a BAB download.

With all the changes to the Coaching over the last 12 months it is in need of a major update. It is proposed to do this after the KKP recommended changes. Coaching criteria has not changed only the CL2 and CL3 units.
